Supervisor Training

The Supervisor Training course is designed to give potential and existing supervisors the skills required to be effective in their role.

Supervisors must have many qualities, such as:

  • Confidence
  • Enthusiasm
  • Integrity
  • Diligence

At the end of this course Students will be able to:

  • Understand the roll of the Supervisor
  • Identify different methods of motivating and delegating their staff
  • Time manage workloads to achieve their maximum potential

Ranger / Warden Training

The Ranger / Warden course is designed for staff that have little or no experience and knowledge of street craft. The course will give your staff the tools and skills required to be effective in their roll as a Ranger/Warden.

Content of the course:

  • The role of the Ranger/Warden
  • Code of Conduct
  • Information sharing with other agencies
  • Communication protocols
  • Uniform and equipments
  • Rotas and planning an effective day
  • Introduction to radio training
  • Effective patrolling
  • Working with, and making effective use of CCTV control rooms.
  • Live Patrolling
  • Customer service dealing with businesses
  • Dealing with complaints
  • PDA training
  • Recording information
  • Incident and report writing
  • Dealing with violence and aggression

The course concludes with a final exercise designed to ensure that all the information and training has been assimilated to a satisfactory standard.

CCTV (PSS) Operatives Basic Training

The CCTV Operatives course will not only introduce the roles and responsibilities of the CCTV operator and other CCTV staff but also teach them about all the skills, knowledge and techniques required to ensure the CCTV equipment is used to its best advantageā€ Run at a very busy CCTV Control room it will give you first hand knowledge and preparation for your exam.

Students will learn about technical skills required to run the system, how images are best collected, making sure audit trails are in place, liaising with police when criminal activity takes place and that the equipment is used effectively and efficiently at all times.

The course will highlight that good verbal and written skills, listening skills, customer care techniques and how to handle complaints are important in the successful operation of CCTV. Recognizing and interpreting body language from images is also very important.

The course can accommodate 8 Students on a first come first served basis.

Course Content:

  • Clarifies fire and emergency procedures
  • Codes of Practice, Operational Procedures and Guidelines
  • Familiarizes students with relevant legislation like the Data Protection Act, Human rights Act etc.
  • Fault reporting procedures
  • How to deal with attempted unauthorized access
  • How to deal with system failure
  • Identifying an IED (Improvised Explosive Device)
  • Operation of access control systems
  • Provides discussion on Health and Safety in the Work
  • Surveillance techniques
  • What to do if a criminal activity takes place and interacting with the police

Rugby BID Tour

Come and visit Rugby Town centre and see a live BID in operation.

You will get a chance to meet our Rangers, Cleaners and view our state of art CCTV control room.

This is a half day presentation to share best practise for any new or existing BIDS.

You will also get a chance to meet some of the retailers and ask them questions.
