Vacant Shop Inititive for Rugby Town Centre

No one likes to see empty shops on the high street and that’s why Rugby First took the bull by the horns.

Working in partnership with Rugby Borough Council, a package of incentives (targeting those thinking about setting up a new business) was negotiated with local landlords, solicitors and accountants for seven empty town centre units.

Incentives included a £3000 moving in grant, half price solicitor fees, first £1,000 accountancy advice FREE and FREE business advice and support.

Two successful promotions later, including a full page advert in the Rugby Advertiser Business Section, five of the seven units have been picked up.
